The video above is Texas Gov. Rick Perry at the 2011 CPAC. A rousing speech, all 30 minutes of it. You'll get to see Perry speak again next week, twice, if you can travel.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry will headline two events next week. On Feb. 6, Perry and his wife Anita, will attend the Wiliamson County Reagan Dinner. Perry is the headline speaker. President George Washington (well, at least a well known impersonator named Mark Collins), and First Lady Martha, will emcee the evening’s banquet. Table sponsorships are $10,000. But cheap seats can be obtained for only $75. The event takes place at the Marriott Austin North in Round Rock’s La Frontera development. There are limited tickets available. For more information, go to the Williamson County GOP website.
On Feb. 9, Perry travels to Washington D.C. to address the gathering at 2012 CPAC, the 39th annual Conservative Political Action Conference and America’s largest gathering of conservative leaders and activists. Perry speaks at 1:20 p.m. in the Marriott Ballroom at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
I'll be attending CPAC this year and reporting hourly from the convention. By CPAC, the new version of this site will be live.

I am so disappointed for
I am so disappointed for America that Rick Perry had to drop out of the Presidential race, but maybe there is something just as important for him to do down the road.
So excited about these two
So excited about these two events, especially CPAC! Although I won't be at either one ;) I'm just glad to see that Rick Perry will still be at the forefront of America's mind. It'll be interesting to see how he's received at CPAC. I have no doubt he'll be fantastic.
Thanks for the post. Perry is
Thanks for the post. Perry is dynamic in this speech. He is absolutely awesome. I am so sorry that we have been denied his presidency.
Thanks, Joe. I'll be looking
Thanks, Joe. I'll be looking forward to your new site and reports from the convention.
Joe, I live in Annapolis
Joe, I live in Annapolis (Maryland), just a short distance from CPAC. How much are the tickets? Any left?
Tickets to CPAC. Also,
Tickets to CPAC. Also, Priceline seems to have the best motel deals inside DC. A 4-star (good one) is around $100/night.
Thanks. CPAC lists Rick Perry
Thanks. CPAC lists Rick Perry as a speaker, but they have him listed as "Gov. Rick Perry (R-FL)" Even Herman Cain is listed as "Herman Cain, Former Presidential Candidate" and Michele Bachman is "Rep. Michele Bachman (R-MN), Former Presidential Candidate." I don't see anywhere on the page I can contact them to correct the error...errors. Joe, do you have pull to ask them to fix it?
Would love to go, but the
Would love to go, but the only choice seems to be buying a ticket for all three days. The only single day ticket seems to be for Saturday. In that the Governor will be speaking on Thursday, I'm out priced. Will be hoping you can catch up with a transcript of the Governor's speech that you can share with us. As a very conservative type, will be looking forward to your reports on some of the other speakers too.
Joe thank you for the
Joe thank you for the wonderful stories and providing information on my favorite Governor. The flyer at CPAC might be an oversight, but people should be demand that corrections be made, especially since he is the Governor of Texas, not Florida.
Perry supporters have a new
Perry supporters have a new site www.teaandfedup.wordpress.com
This is an opportunity for a grassroot's movement to build support for Governor Perry now,in a possible brokered convention, or 2012/2016. Spread the word and we will see if we can get more Perry supporters involved and hopefully we will increase our numbers.
Thanks, Joe for this site.
Thanks, Joe, for this site. Victorykid, nothing would make me happier if somehow or someway Rick Perry could reenter the race. My main question would be, how do we bypass the msm and get his message out. In the last few months of his campaign, the press even the conservative press ignored his message and did everythng they could to make him look bad. If people really knew who Rick Perry was and what he stands for, I think he'd be on his way to the White House. He was the only candidate who really wanted to shrink the size of government. Sadly, too many people have a stake in big government, and they blocked his message.
The only way for that to
The only way for that to happen is for Rick Perry himself to tackle that issue. Which, I am sure he will. He has 4 more years to work at it. Perry 2016!

Perry was treated to a hero’s welcome — including two standing ovations — at the event, in Round Rock, a fundraiser for the Republican Party of Williamson County.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry offered a bold vision for America with oratorical fireworks and a crowd of conservatives that grew more excited with his every sentence.
Perry was something of a rock star at CPAC this afternoon.
