Rick Perry says he may run for presdident again, while at CPAC 2012

At CPAC Thursday (Feb. 9, 2012), Rick Perry said he would not rule out another run for the presidency. "I learned a lot. I'll let others analyze and critique the effort and why we were not successful, but I remind people that Ronald Reagan wasn't successful the first time he ran.

Perry said in other interviews that the primary reason he decided to run for president in the 2012 cycle was because none of the candidates were articulating his strong beliefs in the 10th Amendment, and promoting the competition between the states. Now that he is back in Texas, Perry says he will be hard at work maintaining Texas' leading role in economic growth and job creation.

For heart-broken Perry supporters, this is probably the stringest indication from Perry himself that he has not completely abandoned his presidential ambitions.

Well, 2016 is a long way off Per Governor Perry. He has also said if there is a Republican POTUS, he'll work to re-elect him but will not run for President. 4 yrs after that he'll be 68-69yrs old, and by then Rick Perry will not be interested, IMO.

Rick Perry has also stated yesterday, if ask to be VP, he said NO. He says it's like a bucket of warm spit [which he has stated before]. Besides, Perry thinks DC is a seedy place. He would only live there as President.

That sounds like Governor Perry. He was certainly the best of the candidates. Too bad the voters listened to the so called conservative media, which was pushing Romney. The constant trashing of Perry by supporters of other GOP candidates on a lot of conservative web sites, and of course trashing by other GOP candidates like Bachmann, Santorum, and Ron Paul. Perry will need a different campaign team next time and stay away from anyone connected to the Bushes.

Tom those are painful hopes.

Jeb Bush is a very decent guy but he has just a few problems. His last name is an issue for some and he also is inclined toward big government. It may be compassionate big government but a lot of conservatives favor limited government and he would have difficulty getting their support.

If Obama wins again which is a terrible but real possibility since the economy has improved and his poll numbers are high, I would enthusiastically support Governor Perry for President in 2016.
