After the initial laydown of nuclear weapons in a nuclear war, there was a theory that the debris from the tens of thousands of nuclear explosions will darken the skies, and although radioactive, cause a seasonal change to a long, dark (and radioactive) winter.

Occupy Wall Street Invades CPAC

The evening of Feb. 10, Occupy Wall Street (renamed "Occupy CPAC") protestors blocked the rear exit from the CPAC hotel, along the path to the Washington D.C. Metro subway station. Police, and mounted police patrols arrived to keep the two sides peaceful. It turned into a shouting match. Hear the arguments in this video.

This is the entire Rick Santorum speech at CPAC 2012 on Feb 10, 2012.
We were able to get very up close, by staking out ground very close to the stage hours before the speech began. But then, just as the news of Santorum's appearance spread throughout CPAC, the crowds appears, and the big bad evil corporate media showed up and took our stage perch.

At CPAC Thursday (Feb. 9, 2012), Rick Perry said he would not rule out another run for the presidency. "I learned a lot. I'll let others analyze and critique the effort and why we were not successful, but I remind people that Ronald Reagan wasn't successful the first time he ran.

Despite the lagging polls and criticized debate performances, Rick Perry managed to raise just under $3 million during the fourth quarter of 2011, as the Iowa slug-fest of underway. But during the same time period, Mitt Romney's campaign raised a staggering $24 million.
